Concrete Sleepers

ZMS Concrete Sleepers provide a strong and durable foundation for underground mining and industrial railway systems. Manufactured in different sizes to accommodate project-specific axle loads, the sleepers support secure rail alignment, consistent track gauge and reliable load distribution.

The range includes 5-tonne and 10-tonne sleeper options manufactured from 60MPa concrete and reinforced with high-tensile prestressing wires for dependable performance in demanding rail environments.

5-tonne concrete sleeper

Designed for compatible mining and industrial railway applications where the selected sleeper, rail profile, fastening system and axle load meet the project specification.

• Approximately 40 sleepers per pallet

10-tonne concrete sleeper

Designed for heavier railway applications with axle loads greater than 5 tonnes and up to 10 tonnes, subject to the complete track-system design.

• Approximately 20 to 25 sleepers per pallet
• Suitable for demanding underground haulage operations
• Supports high annual material and rolling-stock throughput
• Mineclip clamping force of up to 800kg per clip

Performance

The sleepers are specified for mining haulage systems handling more than 500,000 tonnes per annum, including rolling-stock movements. The typical haulage lifespan is greater than five years when correctly selected, installed and maintained for the operating environment.
